About the Melbourne Cup
Held between the first two Saturdays in November each year, the Melbourne Cup Carnival consists of four days of world class racing at the magnificent Flemington Racecourse.
The week gets underway on Saturday 2nd November with Penfolds Victoria Derby Day which features no less than nine Group Races, including four Group 1’s. The Melbourne Cup itself, known as “the race that stops a nation”, takes place on Tuesday 5th November and is one of the world’s richest turf races.
In 2024 why not head to Melbourne and join some of the almost 300,000 guests that attend this week long festival that stops a nation!
