Eurostar Information

Please find below useful information for your Eurostar crossings from the UK to Paris. You will find details on the documents required to travel, how and when to check-in, your luggage allowance and how to book special assistance, if required.

You will find your unique Booking Reference on your email confirmation in the Eurostar section.


Tickets


Included within this pack are your Eurostar tickets for travel. For ease we have printed these on your behalf but you can reprint them online or download them to your mobile phone. Instructions to do this are as follows:


Print Tickets

  • Go to “Manage my Booking” at the top of the screen

  • Log in using your booking reference and surname.

  • You can then select “Get Tickets” and download and print these.


Mobile Ticket

  • Download the Eurostar App available on both iPhone and Android.

  • Select “Enter a Booking Reference”

  • Log in using your booking reference and surname.

  • Your ticket will then be stored in your phone and you can access the barcode to scan on the check-in gates upon arrival.


Travel Documents


To travel on Eurostar you need either:

  • A valid Passport, or

  • A national identity card


Checking In


To check in your will need your ticket and passport. You do not need to check in your luggage as long as you’re within your allowance and are able to carry it yourself.


When you arrive at the check-in gates, simply scan the barcode on your paper ticket or on your mobile.


Your check-in time depends on what ticket type you have. Please see timings below that are advised by Eurostar:


Standard & Standard Premier Class

Check in at least 30 minutes before departure, 45 minutes prior on busy times like weekends and bank holidays (or the weekend of the Arc!)


Business Premier Class

Check in at least 10 minutes before departure. If you arrive a little early you can head to an exclusive Business Premier lounge to enjoy complimentary wi-fi, drinks and snacks for up to 90 minutes before departure.


Special Assistance

If you require assistance you will need to allow an additional 30 minutes on top of your normal check-in time. Please see below for more information on this.


Luggage Allowances


When travelling by Eurostar you are permitting to bring the following luggage:


Standard & Standard Premier Class

  • 2 pieces of luggage (up to 85cm long) including rucksacks, bags and suitcases.

  • 1 small piece of hand luggage, e.g. handbag, laptop bag or briefcase.

Business Premier Class

  • 3 pieces of luggage (up to 85cm long) including rucksacks, bags and suitcases.

  • 1 small piece of hand luggage, e.g. handbag, laptop bag or briefcase.

Special Assistance


If you’re travelling with a disability or reduced mobility, free special assistance is there to help you get to and from the train. Special assistance is available when travelling from St Pancras International, Ebbsfleet International, Ashford International & Paris Gare du Nord.


You must arrive at the Eurostar Assist meeting point 75 minutes prior to your departure time. The Eurostar Assist meeting point is always by the Eurostar ticket gates. From there, the team will take you through security and passport control to the departure lounge, where you can take a seat in the priority seating area. When your train’s ready for boarding, you’ll be helped to your coach. When your train arrives at your destination, you will be met at the coach doors and be guided through to Arrivals.


How to Book Special Assistance


Eurostar recommend pre-booking assistance if you will require it so they can ensure help is waiting for you upon your arrival.


To book assistance you need to do the follow:


  • At least 48 hours before departure, call Eurostar on +44(0) 3432 186 186 and choose option four

  • Tell them about your needs and ask any questions

  • They will then confirm your special assistance booking
