Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe 2021

Updated: Feb 1, 2021

About the Racing

The Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe is one of the biggest races in Europe’s flat racing calendar and dates back to 1920. The prize money for the main event of the weekend is worth €5,000,000 which makes it the richest race in Europe and the third richest horse race in the world. This weekend of spectacular racing includes several Group 1 races and four Group 2 classed races. Another highlight of the Arc is the Arabian World Cup, also known as the richest race for purebred Arabian horses with €1,000,000 to win in prize money.

The Arc was lucky to go ahead in October 2020 but sadly with no spectators as was the case with so many racing events around the world due to the ongoing Pandemic. This year we are hopeful that things will be back to normal and that come October 2nd & 3rd 2021, we will be making the journey across the Channel to ParisLongchamp in France for this special spectacle.

Paris

Not only is this the perfect weekend trip away to one of the best races in the world but, a moment for you to explore this incredible City which is so highly regarded for its luxury, style, fashion and food. There are many sites to tick off your list including the Louvre Museum or the Champs-Elysees, and the iconic Eiffel Tower. There are a number of delicious restaurants to choose from including, of course, an array of delectable French Cuisine delicatessens and restaurants but also, a selection of fantastic restaurants showcasing the flavoursome cuisines from around the world. One of Frankie Dettori’s favourites to dine at during his flying visit to Paris is KONG which is an Asian fusion restaurant. As well as the hot tourist spots and fine dining experiences, there is also the fabulous Le Golf National course where the famous Ryder Cup is hosted. If you would like to add a round of golf to your experience, then this can easily be done and the concierge team will talk you through all of the details. If you wanted to extend your stay and soak up more of the French culture or even explore some of the other racecourses in France, then the RacingBreaks.com team will be happy to discuss the various options available and book your trip from start to finish.
