Top 5 Racing Events to look forward to post June 2021....

With the latest announcement revealing how and when restrictions will be lifted and we will once again be able to enjoy travel, sports, and socialising, we want to highlight the top 5 racing events that you can book to enjoy post June 2021 when life will be back to normal…

Laytown Races

2nd September 2021

County Meath Coast

Laytown Races are truly one of a kind. Taking place on the sandy Irish coast, the meeting is 150 years old. It has seen some of the greatest jockeys take to the saddle like Mick Fitzgerald and has even had a BBC documentary made about it. Races take place annually in September and attract more than 5000 visitors. The racing itself is run under the same rules as any other racing meeting and normal procedures apply, it’s just the only difference is that it takes place on a beach so someone has to keep a close eye on the tide tables!

This is a fantastic trip for any racing fan and will be like no other race day you have attended before. It echoes similarities of amatuer point to point racing but is taken very seriously and as mentioned above is run under race rules.

Racing Breaks experiences include return flights to Dublin and a choice of hotels which allow you to enjoy the delights of the city centre if you would like to explore the likes of the Temple Bar area or find a quiet spot for a spot of dinner. Enjoy two nights accommodation with breakfast each morning and return transfers to Laytown races. A unique and enjoyable trip away from just £379pp which can be secured with a £100pp deposit.

Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe

3rd October 2021

ParisLongchamp Racecourse

There is no way that we could put together a top 5 racing events list and not include Europe’s richest and most spectacular race that is, the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. This is the race which had so many of us gripped to the fairytale duo of the Queen, Enable, and our very own ambassador, Frankie Dettori, as they attempted to make history and take home the trophy for a third time. Sadly, it was not meant to be however, that does not mean that there is a lack of sporting excellence in the pipeline for this year, as the turnout of talent is never a disappointment. The Arc is extremely popular amongst British race fans as many make the journey across the channel each year to enjoy a little time away in the ‘City of Love’ and spectate what is a fantastic race card.

A Racing Breaks experience includes a return Eurostar or flights to Paris with two nights accommodation including breakfast at a choice of hotels located within a short distance of the racecourse and the city centre. For those who choose one of our 4* or 5* experiences, you will also receive an invitation to the exclusive Racing Breaks drinks evening with a special line up of racing stars who will discuss how they think each of the races will unfold and provide you with some inside tips.

With many customers from last year having rolled over packages to 2021, spaces and availability is extremely limited so act now to secure your place and ensure that you don’t miss out for another year.
